After 6 years of climbing in Sächsische Schweiz, I remained an outsider. The water is deep and I am slow, so I took my time to learn this unique style of traditional climbing. When I started, I had a hard time gathering information about the climbing in Sächsische Schweiz. Many times I got lost, chose the wrong route, clipped the wrong ring … Hence, I started the blog to help other outsiders, newcomers and beginners to get a taste of what this impressive area has to offer.
Recently I moved to Switzerland after accepting an unexpected but great job. Although this decision is working wonders on my mountaineering skills (what do you mean by fitting the crampons to the boot?) and sport-climbing (what do you mean I can’t sit on the
ring bolt?) it has been killing for the blog: the Swiss have excellent databases, topos and descriptions for nearly all areas! Sadly, I feel I have still not found a place for ellloc (pun intended?). It seems it will be a while until I start to regularly update the site again, either with Elbsandstein or local Swiss area infos.
In the meantime, I hope you find useful the information I gathered . If you would like to know more details you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Enjoy the blog!
